Michelle Sommargren

Michelle Sommargren, PhD, is a Senior Director of Product Management at Labcorp, where they currently oversee product strategies. Previously, they held various leadership roles at Invitae, including Senior Director of Product Management and President of Medical Genetics, driving significant initiatives in oncology and digital clinical support tools. Their early career included positions as a Research Coordinator and Analyst at the University of Washington and as a Development Scientist at Locus Development, where they contributed to the launch of innovative genetic testing products. Michelle earned a PhD in Neurobiology & Behavior from the University of Washington, along with multiple degrees in public health and biology.
