Peter DeFord

Peter DeFord is a bioinformatics scientist at Invitae with a strong background in computational biology and gene regulation. They developed a predictive model for protein-DNA interactions and have extensive experience as a teaching assistant at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Peter previously worked as a bioinformatics analyst at National Jewish Health, where they analyzed sequencing data related to asthma and established data management protocols. They completed a PhD in Cell, Molecular, Developmental Biology, and Biophysics at Johns Hopkins University and are now a senior bioinformatics scientist at Labcorp.
