Susan Hert

Susan Hert is an experienced software professional with a diverse background in software engineering, architecture, and leadership. Currently serving as Director, Software Architect, and Senior Software Engineer at LabKey since March 2015, Susan has previously held key roles, including Lead Software Engineer & Architect at OCLC, where design and delivery of digital content solutions for libraries were paramount. Susan's expertise extends to renewable energy data systems developed at 3TIER, as well as contributions to community features at Zillow.com. Early career experiences include leading federated search product development at Serials Solutions and serving as a researcher on software library projects at the Max Planck Institute. Susan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside dual B.S. degrees in Math & Computer Science and Accounting & Computer Information Systems from Drake University.
