Joongi Kim

Joongi Kim is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and software engineer with extensive experience in software development, research, and community engagement. As a co-founder of Lablup since April 2015, Joongi has been instrumental in innovating research and education through software and coding. In addition, Joongi serves as a creator at Needlworks, contributing as a software engineer and server administrator, and is an active contributor and moderator at the Tatter Network Foundation since 2006. Joongi's previous experience includes a research internship at Microsoft Research, front-end development at NexR, and developing web applications focused on academic needs. Joongi holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, along with a Bachelor's degree from the same institution and an exchange year at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
