Devontay Okure serves as the Managing Director of Unity in the Community CIC, focusing on systemic challenges faced by diverse communities in the UK since September 2020. Devontay is also an elected Labour Party Councillor for St Ann's Ward in Nottingham and has held multiple leadership roles within the Labour Party, including Chief Whip of the Nottingham Labour Group and BAME Officer for both Nottingham East and Nottingham South Constituency Labour Parties. In the GMB Trade Union, Devontay leads as the Regional Equality Forum Race Strand Leader and Branch Equality & Diversity Lead, advocating for racial equality and inclusivity.
