Jonathan Faia has extensive work experience in various industries. Jonathan began their career in 1972, working in and eventually helping to operate their family's retail bakery and pastry shop. Jonathan started with cleaning and maintenance tasks and gradually took on responsibilities such as ordering supplies, sales, marketing, and customer service.

Jonathan then joined the United States Marine Corps in 1983, where they served as a Sergeant and Avionics Technician until 1987. Following their military service, they worked at Trans World Airlines as an Avionics Technician and Aircraft Mechanic from 1992 to 1995.

In 1995, Faia joined Cardone Industries as a Manufacturing Leader for OEM Electronics & Anti-Lock Brake Systems. Jonathan held this role until 2001 when they joined Markel Corp as the Director of Quality and became a part of the Executive Leadership Team.

Faia's most recent position is their current role as the Director of Quality & Cybersecurity at Laboratory Testing Inc., where they are also a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Jonathan took on this role in January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Quality & Improvement at the same company from 2017 to 2021.

Overall, Jonathan Faia has a diverse range of work experience, including leadership positions in quality management, manufacturing, aviation, and bakery operations.

Jonathan Faia obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they studied from 2008 to 2015. Jonathan also earned a Certificate in Nuclear Lead Auditor Qualification from Axion Technical Services in 2019, focusing on standards such as 10CFR50 App. B, 10CFR21, ASME NCA-4000, and NQA-1. In the same year, they completed a program on Accuracy in the Workplace at Evoke Development. Jonathan Faia pursued Lean Six Sigma at Villanova University in 2013 and 2014. Prior to these educational achievements, they attended Upper Bucks Aviation Maintenance Technology School, where they obtained an AMT (Aircraft Maintenance Technician) degree with a specialization in Aircraft Powerplant and Airframe Systems from 1990 to 1992.

Jonathan Faia also holds the ASQ CMQ/OE certification, which they acquired from ASQ in June 2002.
