James Rice

James Rice has extensive work experience in the financial industry. James started their career as an Investment Analyst at John S Herold Inc in 1987, where they focused on the oil industry and conducted industry-wide studies. James then worked at Atlantic Richfield in the finance and treasury department from 1991 to 2000. Following that, they joined CSC as the Director of Pension Investments from 2000 to 2005. James then worked at Wilshire Associates as a Vice President of Consulting from 2005 to 2009. Currently, they are working at LACERA as the Principal Investment Officer, a position they have held since February 2010.

James Rice obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University between 1983 and 1987. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the UCLA Anderson School of Management from 1990 to 1992.
