Chad Callahan

Chad Callahan is a Mechanical Engineering Associate at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since August 2019. Prior experience includes a role as a Mechanical Engineer at Lumitron Technologies, focusing on structural design and analysis for linear accelerator systems. Chad also completed an internship at Solar Turbines, conducting structural analysis of gas compressor components and standardizing engineering documentation. Involvement with the UC Irvine Rocket Project allowed for the design and testing of liquid propellant injector assemblies and rocket nozzle geometry. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine, with prior studies at San Diego State University. Earlier work experience includes positions as a parking attendant and mechanical assembler, as well as a lifeguard for the City of Santa Clarita.
