Daniel Lucero

Daniel Lucero is the Executive Director of Security at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as of 2025, bringing over 15 years of crisis-tested leadership experience. A West Point graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Geopolitics, they also hold two Master's degrees, including one in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Previously, they served in the US Army as a Regional Manager for Stakeholder Engagement, where they developed key relationships and led significant public relations campaigns. Additionally, Lucero is the Chairman of the City of Hawthorne's Commission, directing initiatives that support veteran affairs and policy coordination across various governmental entities.
