Daniel Yap

Daniel Yap is a Mechanical Engineering Associate at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since May 2022, with a background in product management and manufacturing engineering from Biosense Webster, where responsibilities included conducting root cause analysis and designing test fixtures using SolidWorks. Daniel has research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California, Riverside, collaborating on confocal image analysis and optimizing laboratory protocols. Additional roles include tutoring in the University Writing Program, where significant improvements in student performance were achieved, and interning at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division, gaining insights into defense systems and developing improvement strategies for combat systems. Daniel is pursuing an MBA at the University of Southern California, building upon a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering obtained from the University of California, Riverside.
