Jordan Edwards is a Mechanical Engineering Associate at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since May 2024, with prior experience as a Research and Development Engineer focused on Transportation and Automotive Systems at the College of Engineering - Center for Environmental Research and Technology. Jordan has led the design of a mobile grid battery trailer and developed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for energy solutions. Previously, Jordan held several engineering internships at Bourns, Inc., where contributions included the development of the Thermal-Cut off (TCO) Ring Connector and collaboration on thermal simulations. As the founder and lead mentor of the Passing the Torch Peer Mentorship Program at the Bourns College of Engineering, Jordan contributed to supporting African American scholars. Additional experience includes leading mechanical design for unmanned ground vehicles at UC Riverside and an early internship at Manson Construction Co. A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering was earned from the University of California, Riverside in December 2023.
