Smita Dayal

Smita Dayal is a skilled chemist currently working at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since July 2019. Prior to this role, Smita served as an Adjunct Faculty at El Camino College from February 2018 to June 2019 and as a Research Scientist at DuPont Displays, Inc. from March 2012 to September 2014, where Smita focused on research and development of materials for displays and lighting products. Earlier experience includes a position as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from 2008 to 2011, concentrating on photophysics and photovoltaic device development. Smita holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California (2020-2023), a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, and a Master of Technology in Analytical Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
