Steve Hong

Steve Hong has extensive experience as a software developer, currently serving as a Senior Software Developer at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since May 2018, contributing to projects supporting the Water System, including reverse engineering and application support. Prior to this role, Steve worked as a Software Developer for the Customer Service and Billing team, focusing on .NET applications. Steve's experience also includes working as a Java developer at the City of Los Angeles' Information Technology Agency, where contributions were made to the business tax and permit system. Steve began the professional journey as a Student Intern for the Bureau of Street Services while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at California State University, Long Beach, where productivity improvements were achieved in HelpDesk operations. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University, Long Beach, a Study Abroad program at HEIG-VD, and an Associate of Science in Computer Science from San Bernardino Valley College.
