Based in the Scottish fishing village Peterhead, Laeso Fish offers a wide range of langoustine packed and processed in our modern freezing plant.

Peterhead was founded in the 16th century by Scottish fishermen, and the location at Scotland's easternmost point - and thus close to important fishing spots - was crucial when Læsø Fiskeindustri in 1998 decided to establish their plant in Scotland.

Laeso Fish Limited was established in response to an increasing European demand for langoustine, including the slightly smaller langoustines traditionally landed in the UK.

As per 1 January 2026, Kangamiut Seafood aquired 75% of the shares in Laeso Fish, with original owners Læsø Fiskeindustri remaining an important strategic partner with 25% ownership.

As Læsø Fiskeindustri and the Kangamiut Group already have a long and positive partnership history, we are excited to further develop our partnership in the context of Laeso Fish Ltd to continue to bring delicious, high quality langoustine to the European market.
