Luzilla Backa

Luzilla Backa currently serves as the Marketing Communications Manager at Mirka, leading a global team responsible for brand and visual identity, and marketing material development since May 2024. Backa is also a member of the Administrative Board at LähiTapiola since June 2023 and previously held the position of Head of Welfare at Nykarleby stad - Uudenkaarlepyyn kaupunki from November 2022 to May 2024. Backa has an extensive background at Mirka from November 2017 to December 2022, during which various roles were held including Marketing Content Manager and Marketing Communications Supervisor. Earlier professional experiences include positions at Åbo Akademi as an Amanuensis in Energy Technology, news reporting at Yle and Vasabladet, and an internship at Latinamerikagrupperna. Educational qualifications include a Pol. mag. degree in Political Science with a focus on mass communication from Åbo Akademi University and a student degree from Vörå Samgymnasium in the football program.
