Markus Granlund has extensive experience in academia and leadership roles. Since September 2003, Markus Granlund has served as Dean at the Turku School of Economics, University of Turku, focusing on strategic management and development. Concurrently, Markus Granlund holds the position of Professor of Management Accounting, engaging in research, teaching, and the supervision of doctoral students. In addition to academic roles, Markus Granlund is the Chairman of the Board at LähiTapiola Varsinais-Suomi since February 2019 and co-founded Monttu Ventures Oy in January 2018 to support academic startups in South-West Finland. With a background as an expert and consultant in accounting and information systems, Markus Granlund has over 20 years of experience working on various development projects both domestically and internationally. Markus Granlund earned a Doctorate in Economics and Business Administration and a Master's degree in the same field from the Turku School of Economics.
