Simon Barnes

Simon Barnes has extensive experience in the construction and project management industry, currently serving as a Senior Commercial Manager at Laing O'Rourke since July 2001. Key achievements include involvement in the London 2012 Olympic Venues project and ongoing work on the Northern Line Extension. Prior to this role, Simon held the position of Project Financial Manager at John Laing Construction from July 1995 to June 2001, where important contributions were made to the 'Building Down Barriers' project. Simon's career began as a Quantity Surveyor, working on varied projects such as the refurbishment of the Spirella Building and other significant sites. Simon holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from The University of Salford, earned between 1991 and 1995.
