Junior Software Engineer at Laka

Aima Wood has a wealth of work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Junior Software Developer for Laka. In 2021, they attended a Web Development Skills Bootcamp at Bath Spa University, where they acquired the skills of a modern front-end developer. From 2017 to 2021, they worked for We The Curious as a Content Developer, Content Researcher, and Live Science Team Member. Aimae was part of the team responsible for the successful completion of Project What If, a multi-million-pound Wellcome-funded endeavour. Aimae was also responsible for sourcing, assessing, and summarising technical information to inform exhibition development, procuring media, object and archive material, and leading UX-testing workshops. From 2011 to 2017, they worked as a Private Tutor, tutoring Biology, Physics, and Maths to individuals and groups aged 5-19, privately and in secondary schools across Central London.

Amae Wood completed their MSci in Astrophysics from UCL in 2014. Aimae is currently enrolled in a Web Development Skills Bootcamp at Bath Spa University and is expected to finish in 2022.
