Ben Allen

Ben Allen has worked in the software development industry since 2000. Ben began their career at Voyager Software as an Internet Developer. In 2001, they moved to expressHR as a Principal Developer. From 2002 to 2009, they held various roles at expressHR Services Ltd, including Technical Director, Senior Developer/Team Leader, and Software Developer. During this time, they also managed the successful redevelopment of a high-traffic Department for Education website from ColdFusion to .NET 3.5, and designed and delivered a Business Intelligence tool for the Health and Safety Executive. In 2009, they joined RM Data Solutions Ltd as Development Manager. From 2010 to 2015, they were Chief Software Architect at IRIS Software Group. In 2015, they became Head of Engineering/Chief Architect at Advance Global Capital Ltd, where they were responsible for growing the team, technology evaluation/selection, and architectural design. Since 2016, they have been CTO & Co-Founder at Laka, where they work to protect the things people care about the most.

Ben Allen attended Keele University from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a BSc in Computer Science and Business Administration.
