Matthew Carter

Matthew Carter is an experienced Product Manager at Laka since April 2022, specializing in B2C/B2B claims and fulfillment technology. As the Creator and Managing Director of Colour Academy since September 2017, Matthew launched an educational coloring book aimed at helping adults learn to drive, securing over £16,000 in grants and successfully selling the book through Waterstones, benefitting over 2,500 learners. Previous roles include Service Designer at Satellite Applications Catapult, where early-stage innovation in various sectors was emphasized, and Design Researcher at The Big Picture. Additional experience includes co-founding Entrepreneurs Social Club in Edinburgh, serving as Head Rep and Resort Manager at NUCO Travel, and working as a Visual Content Creator with Assembly Festival. Matthew also contributed as a Solidworks CAD & Prototyping Tutor at the University of Strathclyde, where an Integrated Master of Engineering (BEng + MEng) in Product Design Engineering was obtained, alongside an exchange year at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
