We believe in an evolving Lake District for everyone- celebrating its natural beauty, rich heritage and diverse communities. To achieve this, we must address critical issues such as biodiversity loss and climate change through sustainable actions.

By funding local projects and collaborating with businesses, visitors, community groups and public bodies we inspire positive action across the region.

By supporting the Lake District Foundation, you join us in working for a more sustainable future. Together, we can improve water quality, enhance access, recognise our heritage and nurture habitats. We can’t do this without our committed supporters.

As the leading fundraising and grant-making partner for the Lake District National Park, we actively support the shared vision of a flourishing, sustainable Lake District that serves as a beacon of environmental stewardship.

Our ambition is bold: to make the Lake District the world’s most inspiring National Park - a model for sustainable development. By demonstrating real-world solutions, we aim to ignite positive change on a global scale.

Our key priorities are at the heart of this vision:

- Leading climate action to protect the environment
- Restoring and maintaining cleaner lakes for all to enjoy
- Supporting rich biodiversity to create thriving ecosystems
- Promoting diversity, inclusion and accessibility so everyone can experience the beauty of the Lake District
- Recognising our cultural heritage

With your support, we address the urgent challenges facing the Lake District by funding high-priority grants, encouraging collaboration and inspiring positive action.
