Michael Black is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania, where they are dedicated to advancing research that addresses systemic inequities in education. Prior to this, they gained extensive experience as an Honors Engineering and Physics teacher, as well as a lacrosse coach at various institutions, including the Boys' Latin School of Maryland and Culver Academies. Michael began their career as a Mechanical Engineer before shifting focus to education and coaching, combining their passions for mathematics, engineering, and lacrosse to support student development. Currently, they serve as the Offensive Coordinator for the men’s lacrosse team at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
