Laketran
Julia Schick serves as the Director of Communications at Laketran since January 2005, leading a high-performing communications team that focuses on community engagement, customer programs, digital communications, and government relations among other responsibilities. Previously, Julia held the position of Community Outreach Specialist at Laketran, where outreach initiatives and volunteer programs were established. Prior experience includes serving as the Public Relations Coordinator for WomenSafe Inc., where a significant capital campaign was launched, and as a Community Health and AIDS Prevention Health Agent with the Peace Corps, where Julia worked on community health initiatives. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and French from Baldwin Wallace University, completed in 2002.

Laketran
Laketran is Lake County, Ohio’s regional public transit system offering local bus service, door-to-door Dial-a-Ride, and Park-n-Ride service to Cleveland. In 2016, Laketran proudly served over 775,000 riders. We provide partnership programs with Lakeland Community College for college students to ride Laketran's Routes 1-6 for free and offer a reduced fare for any Cleveland-based college students using Park-n-Ride to Cleveland. Laketran's Dial-a-Ride service is a nationally recognized shared-ride bus services mainly used by seniors and people with disabilities. Laketran offers discounted fare programs for seniors, veterans, Medicaid-approved trips, students with disabilities, and residents in some Lake County municipalities. Dial-a-Ride trips are booked by on-line reservations or calling 440-354-6100. Park-n-Ride service provides 18 daily trips into Cleveland between 5:30am - 10am with returned trips back to Lake County between 3:30pm - 6:00pm. It is convenient for Cleveland-based employees, college students, or anyone looking to spend a day sightseeing in downtown.
