Raymond Vrtis

Raymond Vrtis is a Technical Director at Lam Research, specializing in the development of new materials and PECVD processes for BEOL microelectronics fabrication. With a background as an Organometallic Chemist, they possess extensive knowledge in precursor identification and synthesis, as well as PECVD film deposition. Previously, Vrtis held senior research positions at EMD Electronics, Versum Materials, and Air Products, contributing significantly to the field of materials chemistry. They earned a BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and completed a post-doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley.
