Yi Yang

Yi Yang is a highly skilled process engineer with extensive experience in semiconductor technology and advanced materials. Previously at Applied Materials from September 2016 to December 2020, Yi Yang developed PECVD/TCVD thin films for Logic and DRAM applications and contributed to CIP process development while collaborating with hardware teams on chamber characterization and qualification for concept and feasibility projects. Currently at Lam Research since November 2020, Yi Yang focuses on dielectric etch processes. Yi Yang's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where research involved semiconductor metal oxides synthesis, semiconductor quantum dots growth, and advanced materials analysis techniques. Additionally, Yi Yang has experience designing high-performance LED devices and developing light-converting materials from an internship at Philips Lumileds.
