Chris Hocate has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Business Development at Lamb-Star Engineering since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Neel-Schaffer, Inc. as the Transportation Practice Leader for North Texas from December 2021 to February 2023. Before joining Neel-Schaffer, Inc., Chris worked at Atkins, where they held multiple positions including Sr. Division Manager DOT from December 2019 to November 2021, Sr. Division Manager Public and Private from April 2017 to December 2019, and Sr. Project Director from August 2016 to April 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked at OTHON, INC., Consulting Engineers as a Senior Project Manager from September 2013 to July 2016, and at Lochner as a Senior Associate/Project Manager from November 2010 to August 2013, Project Manager from January 2005 to October 2010, and Project Engineer from January 1997 to December 2004.
Chris Hocate graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Licensed Engineer certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in January 2003.
