Derek Sweeney

Derek Sweeney, PE, PTOE, currently serves as the Traffic Engineering Lead at Lamb-Star Engineering since May 2024. Previously, Derek held positions as Sr. Project Manager at ATG | DCCM and Managing Director - Traffic at Binkley & Barfield, where responsibilities included leading traffic and transportation engineering projects, traffic impact analyses, and traffic operation studies. Derek's earlier experience includes roles as Project Engineer at CKS Engineers, Inc. and KLH Engineers, Inc., focusing on land development compliance and roadway construction projects. Additional roles include Transportation Construction Inspector with McTish, Kunkel & Associates, Structural Engineering Intern at Vulcraft of New York, and Geek Squad Agent at Best Buy. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University.
