Thomas (Tad) Lichtenauer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Thomas (Tad) started their career as a Copywriter at The Ken Ayres Group in 1989 and later worked as a Public Affairs Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from 1990 to 1992. Thomas (Tad) then joined Levenson as a Public Relations Account Supervisor from 1992 to 1995.

In 1995, they began working at Nortel Networks as a Senior Manager of Corporate Communications until 2000. Thomas (Tad) then moved to Metro-Optix, an Ericsson startup, where they served as the Director of Marketing Communications from 2000 to 2003. Subsequently, they returned to Nortel Networks as a Product Marketing Manager from 2003 to 2005.

In 2006, they established their own company, Idea Squad, LLC, where they worked as a Principal until 2007. In 2008, they joined Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. as the Director of Communications & Information Technology, a role they held until 2019. Thomas (Tad) then served as the Chief Innovation Officer from 2019 to 2022, and subsequently as the Director of Philanthropy from 2022 to the present. Additionally, starting from May 2023, they have taken on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Thomas (Tad) Lichtenauer began their education journey in 1983 at Denison University. However, no specific degree or field of study information is available for this period. In 1985, they attended Butler University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public & Corporate Communications. Following this, they pursued further education at Northwestern University from 1987 to 1988, graduating with a Master of Science (MS) from the Medill School of Journalism.
