Adam Bell has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Adam started their career in 2012 as an Audio Video Technician at First United Methodist Church before moving to Colorado State University in 2014 to work as a Program Aide in the Research Services offices. Adam then joined Run PC Computers in 2015 as a Service Technician, where they gained experience in configuring Linux, Windows Servers, and pre-XP Windows and software.

In 2016, Adam became an IT Systems Lead / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) at Numerica Corporation, where they led Information Technology and Information Security staff and created and maintained Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for information systems with a strong working knowledge of the NIST SP800-53.

Adam then joined Canonical in 2019 as a Security Software Engineer, working on projects related to FIPS 140-2/140-3 compliance for a handful of Ubuntu Linux packages (released to customers), hardening and auditing products for Ubuntu's CIS Benchmarks and DISA STIGs, and Debian packaging products and tools. Adam later worked at Canonical as a Linux Systems Service Engineer II, administering, troubleshooting, and debugging open source Linux and cloud tools, including the general Ubuntu Linux environment, Kubernetes (K8s), OpenStack, Ceph, Juju (and charms), MAAS, LXD/LXC while developing tools and documentation for the general security and security-compliance teams.

Adam most recently worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Lambda in 2022.

Adam Bell completed their high school education at Liberty Common High School between 2011 and 2015. After that, they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy of Science and Technology from Colorado State University, where they studied from 2015 to 2018. There is no record of any additional certifications they may have acquired.
