Senior Software Engineer at Lambda

Byron Platt is a Senior Software Engineer at Lambda since 2021, where they work with a team of AI Scientists to build the world's best Machine Learning Hardware & Cloud, serving customers such as Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Tencent, Kaiser Permanente, MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Caltech, and the Department of Defense. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Developer for the Australian Federal Government in 2008. Before that, from 2002, they were an Administrator and Developer at All Systems Go Networks, responsible for network and systems administration for a large number of companies in Brisbane, with some software development and web design work. In 1998, they were an Officer Cadet at the Australian Defence Force.

Byron Platt earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales (ADFA) from 1998 to 2000. Byron continued their education at The University of Queensland where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering from 2001 to 2003 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2005. Platt also attended Alstonville High School from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their degrees, Platt earned several certifications including iOS Vulnerability Analysis from Northpoint Labs in 2012, Network Penetration Testing and ethical Hacking from SANS Institute in 2009, and Train the Trainer from Canberra Institute of Technology in 1999, among others.
