Mervin Y.

Mervin Y. is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in high-performance computing (HPC) and Unix/Linux systems. Currently serving as a Senior HPC Operations Engineer at Lambda since February 2024, Mervin is responsible for validating and deploying HPC GPU clusters for various complex simulations. Prior to this, Mervin held the position of Sr. System Engineer at Aspen Systems Inc, where expertise in designing and maintaining HPC clusters and servers was developed, along with proficiency in high bandwidth fabrics, networking, storage solutions, container technology, and various applications. Additional roles include Sr. Unix Engineer and Unix Operations Manager at General Dynamics Information Technology, Consultant at IBM Global Technology Services, and earlier positions in IT and technical management. Mervin earned a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College and a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Language with a Business Management Citation from the University of Maryland College Park.
