Rich Underwood

Rich Underwood is an experienced HPC Systems Engineer currently working at Lambda since March 2023. Prior to this role, Underwood served as an HPC Solutions Architect and Technical Consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where responsibilities included acting as a technical lead and integrating HPC systems for scientific analysis. Underwood has also held positions at Cray Inc. as a System Engineer, where notable achievements included leading software installations for a high-performance GPU supercomputer, and at Leidos as the Product Lead for System Engineering, successfully overseeing an upgrade project for Military Treatment Facilities. Additional roles include supporting Electronic Health Record systems at SAIC and working as a Field Engineer at Qualcomm, with early engineering experience at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Underwood holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego.
