Amer Atwi

Amer Atwi has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Amer is currently serving as the Chief Consumer Officer at Kuwait Telecommunication Company (stc) since April 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of B2C at Lami Insurance Technology starting from August 2020.

Before joining Lami Insurance Technology, Amer Atwi held the position of Managing Director - Consumer Business at Telkom Kenya from June 2016 to July 2019. During their tenure, they led and sponsored cross-functional transformation programs following the acquisition from Orange. Amer successfully executed a Performance Turnaround Strategy for the company.

Amer Atwi also worked as an Industry Advisor at Helios Investment Partners in 2016. In this role, they provided advisory services relating to the telecommunications industry.

Before that, Amer Atwi served as the Chief Executive Officer at Comium Gambia from September 2006 to December 2015. Amer was responsible for launching a Greenfield operation and achieving nationwide coverage within eight months. Amer implemented aggressive marketing strategies that resulted in Comium becoming the fastest-growing operator in the market, reaching a 33% market share after three years of operation. Amer also achieved the second-highest market share position in a highly saturated market with two dominant operators.

Earlier in their career, Amer Atwi worked as a Business Development Manager at C-Mobile/COMIUM from June 2004 to September 2006. Amer also had roles in Business Development and as an RNPO Lead Engineer at LibanCell S.A.L. from August 1999 to June 2004.

Amer Atwi's education history begins with their enrollment at Carmel Saint Joseph, where they earned their French Baccalaureate degree in an unknown field of study in 1999. Following this, from 1995 to 1999, Amer attended the American University of Beirut, obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer & Communication Engineering. Moving forward, from 2004 to 2006, Amer pursued an Executive MBA degree at both ESCP Business School and ESA BUSINESS SCHOOL, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
