Will Jones

Will Jones is a Senior Software Engineer at LanceDB (YC W22), where they have been working since May 2023. Will is also a member of the Apache Arrow PMC at The Apache Software Foundation, starting from March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Voltron Data as an Open Source Support Engineer from November 2021 to May 2023. From June 2019 to October 2021, Will worked as a Software Engineer at M Science, where they built and maintained backend microservices for analytical data processing. Prior to that, they were a Research Associate at M Science from December 2016 to June 2019, assisting with equity research and designing software for analysis automation. Will's earlier experience includes roles as a Student Body Webmaster at Reed College, a Javascript Development Intern at Switchboard (HQ), and various roles at Reed College involving web development, advocacy, and journalism. Overall, they have a strong background in software engineering, research, and web development.

Will Jones attended Reed College from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics with a Concentration in Statistics.
