Markus Irle has a wealth of experience in the field of software development and cybersecurity. Markus began their career as a Consultant at IBM Österreich in 1997 before moving on to become a Development Team Manager at Unisys Österreich GmbH, where they led a team in the development of a vertical portal for the pharmaceutical industry. In 2001, they joined Software Competence Center Hagenberg GmbH as a Member of Scientific Staff. Markus then worked as a Development Engineer at Hagenberg Software GmbH from 2004 to 2005 and at Utimaco Safeware AG from 2005 to 2006. Markus then took on the role of Project Manager at Utimaco Safeware AG from 2006 to 2009. Markus later worked at ICANS GmbH as a Team Lead in Software Development from 2009 to 2013. Markus then joined Hamburg Community Experiences (HCE) GmbH as Team Lead in Software Development from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they served as Head of Development Hamburg at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity - gateprotect GmbH. Markus then worked at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity as Director Firewall from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they are the Vice President Firewall & Security / Site Manager at LANCOM Systems GmbH, a position they have held since June 2021. Throughout their career, Markus has demonstrated their expertise in software development, team leadership, and cybersecurity.
Markus Irle attended Bundesrealgymnasium Fadingerstrasse, Linz from 1986 to 1994 where they obtained their Matura, Allgemeine Hochschulreife. From 1994 to 2004, they studied Computer Science at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. In terms of additional certifications, Markus obtained the BSI IT-Grundschutz-Praktiker certification from BITKOM e.V. in May 2023. Markus also holds a Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance, obtained in 2008, and an INTERSHOP enfinity Certified Developer certification from Intershop Communications, obtained in 2000.
