Philip Nell

Philip Nell currently serves as the Strategic Director of Place, Prosperity & Sustainability at Birmingham City Council, overseeing a team focused on inclusive growth, planning, transport, sustainability, and property services. Previously, Philip held the position of Director of Property & Investment at the same council, where responsibilities included managing a substantial real estate investment portfolio and promoting affordable housing initiatives. Philip also contributes as an External Examiner for the Real Estate MSc at Oxford Brookes University and is actively involved with organizations such as LandAid and LionHeart RICS. Philip's prior experience includes leadership roles at LaSalle Investment Management, Federated Hermes Limited, and Aviva Investors, alongside educational credentials from Oxford Brookes University in Estate Management.
