Nicolette Provis

Head of Product and UX at Landchecker

Nicolette Provis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nicolette is currently the Head of Product and UX at Landchecker since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Designer at Landchecker from December 2018 to January 2022.

Before their time at Landchecker, Nicolette was self-employed starting in January 2009. As a Visual Designer, they undertook various freelance projects, including creating the identity system for the Strange Wolf Basement Bar, which won the Best Bar Design category of The Age Good Bar Guide 2012. Nicolette also designed the identity for The Parlor Milkbar & Kitchen and worked with a Brisbane-based Landscape Architect on their identity and stationery redesign. Nicolette'sself-employment career lasted until November 2021.

From May 2017 to May 2019, Nicolette worked as a UX/UI Designer at BurnsRED. Nicolette worked on in-house product design projects and also collaborated with clients in industries such as mining, energy, insurance, and finance.

Prior to their time at BurnsRED, they worked as a UX Designer at Indietech from December 2016 to April 2017. Here, they got exposure to the end-to-end design process of digital products and collaborated with programmers and copywriters across various industries.

Nicolette also has experience in graphic design, having worked as a Graphic Designer at Snap Printing from January 2012 to April 2013. Nicolette'sresponsibilities included designing print collateral, prepress, and color correcting artwork.

Nicolette began their career as a Sales Assistant at Verve Boutique, a clothing store and cafe, from March 2009 to January 2012, while studying at university. Nicolette'srole involved managing the cafe and attending to customers on the retail side.

Overall, Nicolette Provis has a broad range of experience in product design, UX/UI design, visual design, graphic design, and customer service across different industries.

Nicolette Provis obtained a Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) from Swinburne University of Technology from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma of Graphic Art from Victoria University from 2007 to 2008, specializing in Graphic Design. In 2016, Nicolette attended General Assembly for User Experience Design. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance, and various courses from Lynda.com, such as Foundations of Typography, Infographics Fundamentals, and Logo Trend Report, among others.
