Matt Trainor

SVP, Brand Creative at Lands' End

Matt Trainor is the senior vice president of brand creative for Lands’ End, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for creating and planning the strategy and positioning behind seasonal and annual campaigns across digital, social, public relations and print, as well as bringing merchandising strategies and design to life through integrated, brand-building, customer experiences.

Trainor has a wide range of experience with traditional and digital retail content strategy, brand advertising/PR and marketing. He is highly skilled at creating and implementing consistent, creative and brand vision across multi-channel properties on a global and regional scale, and leading multi-channel seasonal campaigns, product marketing strategies and creative executions. He also has extensive experience leading cross-functional teams to create uniform brand and marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Lands’ End, Trainor held previous roles at J. Crew as vice president of brand voice and marketing and at Ralph Lauren as editor in chief of digital and e-commerce. Additionally, Trainor has spent over eight years in editorial roles in publications such as Vanity Fair magazine, Cargo magazine and Departures magazine.

Trainor received his Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy Studies, English and History from Duke University in Durham, N.C.
