Robert Wample

Robert Wample, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Wample Lab at LandScan, focusing on intelligent site characterization and analysis technologies for agriculture and forestry since November 2020. As the owner of Edgeknoll Consulting LLC since January 2012, Robert specializes in agricultural consulting for permanent crops, particularly wine grapes, and integrates innovative technologies for enhanced crop production and sustainability. Previous positions include co-owner and consultant at C3, where Robert studied plant physiology and soil management, and roles at Soil and Topography Information, LLC, and California State University, Fresno, where Robert chaired the Department of Viticulture and Enology and directed the Viticulture and Enology Research Center. Robert's academic career also includes a professorship at Washington State University, focusing on horticulture and viticulture. Education credentials include a Ph.D. in Plant Stress Physiology from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor's degree in Botany from the University of Idaho.
