Ryan Metlen

Ryan Metlen is the Division President of Landscape Development for LA and Ventura Counties. Prior to this role, Ryan served as an Associate Project Manager with Landscape Development, Inc. from January 2004 to December 2011. Ryan's responsibilities included developing proposals and budgets, coordinating project logistics, and supervising field crews.

Before Landscape Development, Ryan worked as a Plant Health Care Technician with Stay Green, Inc. from January 2002 to December 2004. In this role, they performed various horticultural tasks such as tree injections, soil sampling, and irrigation audits. Ryan also provided recommendations to clients on how to maintain the health of their plants.

In addition to their work in the landscaping industry, Ryan has also been an Associate Life Drawing Instructor at the California Institute of the Arts and a Creative Consultant with Walt Disney Imagineering. Ryan began their career at Walt Disney Imagineering as an intern in 1997 and worked their way up to a staff position within a few years.

Ryan Metlen has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts in Film/Animation. Ryan also has a Certificate in Landscape Design from California State University, Northridge. Finally, they have an Executive Master of Business Administration from California Lutheran University.
