John Carbrey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. John is currently the Managing Director at FutureSight since September 2019. In addition, they are the Co-Founder and Investor at Medibanx, CREWSCOPE, and Landslo, starting in 2022, 2022, and 2021 respectively. John has also worked as the Principal at Intrafinity Capital since January 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Navigation Officer at Sabatical from January 2018 to September 2018.

Notably, John held the position of SVP of Product and Technology at West Corporation from June 2015 to November 2017, where they led a global organization impacting millions of parents, schools, healthcare organizations, and government agencies across the US and Canada. Earlier in their career, they were the CEO and Founder of both SharpSchool and Talentova, providing solutions for K-12 school districts and e-Learning & talent management, respectively. John Carbrey was also the CEO and Founder of CivicLive, which offered eGovernment and Citizen service solutions.

John Carbrey's education history includes several notable programs and certifications. In 2001, they enrolled in the University of Toronto to pursue a degree in Computer Science and Commerce, but unfortunately dropped out before completing their studies in 2003.

In 2013, John attended the University of Toronto's Next Founders program, where they gained knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship.

In 2018, John further expanded their education by participating in various programs. John attended the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, focusing on Executive Education in Venture Finance. Additionally, they completed the Executive Program at Singularity University.

Furthermore, John obtained a certification as a Foresight Practitioner from the Institute for the Future in April 2018, emphasizing their expertise in foresight and its application.
