Georg Eie

Georg Eie has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Georg began their career as an IT Manager at Ingeniørregimentet from 1991 to 1993. Georg then worked at Ericsson as a Developer and Tools Support from 1996 to 1998. Following that, they joined Sopra Steria as a Unix Systems Consultant from 1998 to 1999. Georg briefly worked at Norconsult AS as an IT Security Consultant from 1999 to 2000. In 2000, they returned to Ericsson as a Developer until 2002. From 2002 to 2004, they served as a Senior Systems Consultant at Basefarm AS, after which they became the Department Manager until 2010. During their time at Basefarm AS, they also co-founded BlueCom AS, where they worked as the CTO and Consultant until 2004. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as the Head of the IT Department at Compass Group, Eurest&Medirest Norway. Finally, since 2015, they have been the Head of IT Operations at Statens lånekasse for utdanning.

Georg Eie earned a Sersjant / EDB driftstekniker degree in Befalsutdanning, IT drift from Hærens Tekniske Fagskole / Elektronikk between the years 1989 and 1991. Georg then pursued a BEng (Honors) degree in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Surrey from 1993 to 1996. In 1996, they obtained a Sivilingeniør degree in Information Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Later, from 2012 to 2013, Georg pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Economics at Heriot-Watt University. In the same institution, they also completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Finance in 2013.
