Saqib Ameen

Saqib Ameen is a Machine Learning Engineer at Langbase since March 2024, previously serving as an AI Researcher at Huawei from March 2023 to March 2024. At the University of Alberta, Ameen worked as an Associate Researcher and Graduate Research Fellow from January 2021 to April 2023, focusing on Neurosymbolic Programming and enhancing search algorithms for neural models. Ameen has also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, delivering lab content on software engineering topics. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Afiniti, where Ameen transitioned a monolith application to a micro-frontend architecture, and as a Software Engineer and Developer Advocate at daily.dev, where Ameen engaged with a developer community and revamped the website. Ameen holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Alberta and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
