Simon May has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Simon has held positions in the social care and probation sectors, as well as in public relations.

Simon's most recent role was as the Head of Client Risk and Care Referrals at Langley House Trust, where they led the Care Team and managed client risk management responsibilities. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Care on an interim basis, coordinating and managing referrals for the Trust's Care home provision. Simon also worked as a Social Care Manager for three southern Care Projects within the same organization.

Simon also has experience in the film and TV industry, serving as the Financial Director for KOVA International. In this role, they oversaw marketing campaigns, event management, and film distribution.

In the probation sector, Simon held various roles with different organizations, including the National Probation Service and Hampshire Probation Trust. Simon worked as a Senior Probation Officer, a Strategic NPS Lead for the Hampshire Offender Personality Disorder Pathway, and an Extremism Offending and PREVENT/TACT Specialist. Simon also served as the Chairman of Christians in Probation, overseeing executive meetings and organizing national conferences.

Additionally, Simon has experience in project management within the housing sector, having worked as a Project Manager for Stonham Housing Association and a Senior Project Worker for Jimmy's Nightshelter. Simon also served as a Project Leader for The Simon Community.

Throughout their career, Simon has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in risk management, and a passion for delivering high-quality services.

Simon May earned a Master's Degree in Applied Social Studies/Diploma in Social Work from the University of Portsmouth in 2009-2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Social Policy 2nd Class from the University of the West of England in 1993-1996. Simon also completed their A levels in History, Economics, and Geography at Tauntons 6th Form College from 1990-1992. Simon attended King Edward 6th School in Southampton from 1985-1990 and Portswood School in Southampton from 1979-1985.
