John Conlon

With over 20 years’ experience in Child Law, John joined Langleys in 2006 and now serves the firm as a Partner. He is the Deputy Head of the Private Law division and also leads the child law team.

Highly regarded for his expertise in child law, John is a member of the Law Society Children Panel and is recognised by both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, where the firm’s Child Law division is given the highest ranking.

Describing his key attributes as a lawyer, John notes his pragmatism and sensitive approach to the difficult issues involved in Child Law. Well versed in all areas of the law relating to children, John’s speciality is representing parents, other family members and children in care proceedings and complex Children Act Proceedings. He highlights the relationships he builds, both with his Clients and with other organisations and agencies in his field as being a particularly satisfying part of his role.
