Johnathan Fields McDowell

Johnathan Fields McDowell has a background in creative production and operations management. Johnathan co-founded and worked as a Creative Producer at Dugud Lab. In this role, they managed the creative production supply chain, developed proposals, and coordinated end-to-end projects. Previously, they served as the Operations Director at Janet Mock, where they handled day-to-day business activities, supported creative logistics, and managed crisis communications. McDowell also worked as a Strategic Initiatives Manager at Race Forward, where they planned and executed organizational strategic plans, moderated webinars, and collaborated on budget reconciliation.

Johnathan Fields McDowell completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management at The New School from 2016 to 2018. Johnathan previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy and African & Black Diaspora Studies from DePaul University, which they attended from 2006 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they also earned a certification in Facilitative Leadership & Content Management from the Interaction Institute for Social Change in August 2015.
