Jesper Houlind

Jesper Houlind has a wealth of experience in various roles and industries spanning over three decades. Jesper is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Langstack, a visual development platform for building backend applications. Their role involves using a visual programming language to develop backend applications in multiple languages and deploying them on various cloud platforms or GIT.

Before joining Langstack, Jesper served as the COO at Assurator, a lean and agile insurance application management specialist. Jesper held this position from 2014 to 2016, overseeing the operational aspects of the company.

Prior to Assurator, Jesper worked as the COO at Sproom, a fast-growing trading platform in the Nordics, from 2013 to 2014. Here, they were responsible for the overall operations of the company.

Previously, Jesper spent a significant part of their career at TIA Technology A/S, Europe's largest provider of software to the insurance industry. Jesper joined the company in 2002 as a Partner, focusing on business development and growth. Jesper eventually became a partner in 2003 and held this position until 2012. Jesper was responsible for all aspects of business development, including commercial, legal, financial, and HR activities.

Before TIA Technology A/S, Jesper worked at Icon Medialab, an international internet consulting firm, as the VP of the Consulting Division. Jesper managed the largest and most profitable consulting division, leading a team of approximately 40 consultants.

Jesper began their career in 1985 as the owner of J. Andersen Consulting, a private consultancy. From there, they progressed to different roles, including Manager at McKinsey & Company, a leading global management consulting firm. At McKinsey, Jesper was involved in various projects, including mergers and acquisitions and business unit strategy. Jesper was also a core member of the transport and logistics group.

Prior to McKinsey, Jesper served as the VP of Administration at DSC Communication, a Danish manufacturer of telecommunication switches, from 1995 to 1996. Jesper was responsible for multiple administrative departments, including QA, legal, and HR, and led post-merger activities following the divestiture of NKT Elektronik.

Jesper also worked as the VP of Business Development at Superfos (NCC), Denmark's largest asphalt and road services company, from 1996 to 1998. Jesper played a crucial role in developing the new road services division and participated in the strategic decision to divest Superfos Construction.
