Ronnie Bates has an extensive work experience spanning over several industries. Ronnie started their career in 1991 as the Director of Media Production at Multimedia Learning, Inc., where they designed a creative studio for interactive training, marketing, and entertainment solutions. In 1998, they joined Ariel Performance Centered Systems as a Senior Consultant, working on high-profile software design projects for Fortune 100 clients.
In 2003, Ronnie joined Reel FX Creative Studios, initially as a Concept Artist, contributing to the studio's growth and working on animation, commercials, theatrical productions, and museum installations. Ronnie later transitioned to the role of Director, Commercial Production, where they managed a team of creative directors, designers, and visual effects artists.
From 2011 to 2014, Ronnie was a Brand Manager at Bedrock Manufacturing Co., where they played a key role in launching new brands and evolving acquired brands, including Filson and Shinola watches. Following that, they joined Filson as a Creative Manager in 2014, where they built and managed an in-house creative department, supporting catalog, web, product, social, retail, and marketing efforts during a rebranding initiative. Under their leadership, Filson's annual net revenue and retail presence significantly increased.
In 2018, Ronnie joined Eddie Bauer as a Senior Art Director before transitioning to Freelance Marketing and Creative Services, where they were a Creative Director. Currently, they are employed as an Art Director at Lantern Press since 2021.
Ronnie Bates attended Oklahoma Christian University from 1980 to 1983, where they focused on advertising design. Following this, they enrolled at The Art Institute of Dallas from 1985 to 1987, specializing in applied arts. No specific degree was mentioned for either educational institution.
