Raymond Hwang

Raymond Hwang, MD, MEng, MBA, serves as the Medical Director and Vice President at Lantern since July 2024. Hwang has held the position of Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners since May 2018 and is a practicing Spine Surgeon at both Beth Israel Lahey Health and New England Baptist Hospital, contributing to various committees and quality collaboratives. As Medical Director of the Orthopaedic Specialty Practice and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine since October 2014, Hwang continues to influence medical education and practice. Hwang is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Osso VR and serves as a Consultant for restor3d, along with advisory roles at Avant-garde Health. Previously, Hwang was Senior Medical Director at Hinge Health, where significant advancements in orthopedic telemedicine and clinical product development were achieved. Hwang's educational background includes an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MD from Harvard Medical School, and dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
