Joe Taylor

Joe Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Joe most recently worked at Lanvera as a Software Architect, starting in October 2022. Before that, they were an Adjunct Professor at Collin College starting in January 2023.

Prior to their current positions, Joe worked at Populus Financial Group as a Software Architect from July 2019 to October 2022. There, they provided designs and guidance for the implementation of a large-scale CQRS finance system, incorporating hybrid cloud technologies and integration with third parties.

From May 2018 to July 2019, Joe served as the Chief Devil's Advocate at ResMan Property Management Software. Joe developed patterns and practices for the overhaul of integrations with third-party rental document platforms and promoted the use of unit tests for quality assurance.

Before that, Joe worked at Wolters Kluwer, CCH as a Sr. Development Engineer from August 2014 to May 2018. Joe led the development for an Azure cloud-based UI and services system, utilizing AngularJS, RESTful WebAPI services, and Azure SQL repositories.

From November 2012 to July 2014, Joe was a Senior Developer at RMG Networks, focusing on maintaining and extending services to extract and aggregate call center information from third-party providers.

Joe also has experience as a Software Consultant at The Insource Group from February 2012 to November 2012 and as a Lead Architect at QT Technologies from July 2011 to January 2012.

Joe started their career at MEDHOST as a Software Developer from March 2010 to July 2011, working on a C++ MFC application with a C++ backend and integrating communications with a 3rd party ePrescribing platform using a C# WCF service.

Lastly, from June 2006 to December 2009, Joe worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at ZixCorp, where they extended an existing e-Prescribing system to repair defects and upgrade to .NET 2.0 and 3.0.

Joe Taylor's education history includes a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 1993 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1987 to 1991.
